The Peuchen is a shape-shifting creature from Chilean mythology. It is most often depicted as a giant, flying snake.
It is said that the Peuchen's gaze can paralyse its victim. It will then suck the frozen individual's blood. It is said to emit a strange whistling sound, and has been claimed to suck the blood of sheep.
