= June 28th - The year before Pope went to prison = The days she was conscious of the world around her had become sparse. The more she was kept away from her twin, the more she felt like she wanted to die. Despite her son, despite everything she convinced herself of. He was a coward, but he was also her only brother , the one who knew her the most. They had shared a womb, they were sharing a birthday. Why her feet had brought her to that forsaken house, she wasn't sure. Nervously she waited on the other side of the street, hoping to see him, just once. Just a glimpse. Just for a second. She hated it. He had made his choice, he didn't care about her, and yet here she was standing with a stupid gift bag. A trembling hand went through her hair. Stupid, this was stupid. She could have invest in some good shit instead of this stupid gift. She started to pull at her hair. Maybe earlier, maybe when she wasn't such a monster. She started to walk away when a truck arrived and she froze. The gate opened, and she just stood there…mouth trying to form words. She waited, he was alone. "A….Andrew" she whispered. "Andrew" she called louder though not loud enough for anyone to hear. She did not dear come closer, she knew their mother had CCTVs , she was just in the dead angle of them.
the last place that he wanted to be was roped into some obnoxious party that Smurf had planned to pretend to celebrate his birthday. their birthday. though that never seemed to matter to Smurf. nor did the fact that he genuinely hated parties. but none of this was for him. none of this had ever been for either of them. Andrew knew that this was just a show for Smurf to continue pretending that she was the worlds best mother. he'd spent the better part of the morning preparing himself to tell Smurf where to stick her party. despite knowing that he would be coerced into staying anyway.
too wrapped up in his own thoughts he pays little attention to her standing there when he first pulls in. chalking it up to his mind playing tricks on him as it had been known to do. there was no way that it would be true. hazel flicking to the review a few times before he's annoyed with himself for being so messed up that he was hallucinating his own sister.
slamming the truck into park outside the gate, he throws the door open just in time to catch the soft call of his name. she's stood just out of reach of the camera. a known blind spot. briefly he wonders to himself why his hallucinations would care about anything like that. it didn't matter. stalking towards her, the anger leeches from him with each step that brings him closer and closer to her. this wasn't the normal specter of his mind.
by the time that he's stood before her his gait had taken up a more terrified rhythm before slowing to a stop. "Julia?" her name is breathed out of him as if terrified that she'd vanish if he looked away or spoke too loud. "what — what are you doing here?"
