This is about the romance side of the trilogy.

Before you pull out your pitchforks and torches, listen.

I love Ravi, I love PipRavi. Its a great ship, Ravi is the best boyfriend, Zain is amazing and plays Ravi perfectly.

That being said, I only really prefer PipRavi in the books.

In the books, there's more development, there's more conversations that aren't just about the case and they're playful and teasing and its cute. They feel right in the books.

The show however... because of the limits on episode durations and how many they get to tell the story, along with having not Holly write season 1, we didn't get a lot of the bonding and development - among other things - that were in the books.

Obviously this might change when season 2 comes out (this is written before its out, written may 20th) but I doubt it'll change my opinion.

With that, I personally ship PipCara.

The book actively states that Cara is like a sister to Pip because they've known each other so long, Elliot is like a third dad. It just feels a little odd for the book version though its not entirely off the table.

But the show, the show is definitely where I prefer PipCara over PipRavi because we see the fun moments with Pip and Cara, there's more scenes of them together, we see them argue and come back together, we see how deeply they care for one another, its great and it lends more to shipping them than the books does.
