The last time Sterling had really spoken with Lucia she was confessing to murder.
Confessing to murdering her Commanding Officer for orders she didn't agree with.
So seeing her name amongst the files of agents he was now to be the CO for... well, Sterling had some mixed feelings about this. He took in a slow deep breath and blew it out, cheeks puffed and shoulders slumped. This was going to be a doozy of a reunion but he was, in all honesty, curious how she'd come out of things and how she was. It'd been about 5 years, give or take and he could count on one hand the number of times they'd really seen each other. They were different departments, different lives, ages, ect. Still, he remembered her and he remembered liking her. Even reading up on what had happened to her CO he found it had been an accident and the circumstances were a bit blurry at best. He also saw she had, understandably, been bounced around from handler to handler all that time. No one wanting to stick with the Handler Killer, he supposed.
Yet another case of Sterling wondering if they were hazing him or if they thought he could handle it.
"Agent Castillo?" Sterling stepped into the training room where he found the younger agent. He wasn't quite sure they had told her of his appointment as her new handler or if she even remembered him at this point. "I thought I'd find you here. Do you have a moment to talk?"
