I like how controversial Anders is as a character. On one hand, I can definitely understand why he went down his path and why he felt like he couldn’t tell Hawke about it. He felt he had no other options because mages continued to be oppressed and go unheard. On the other, I think he would have had a better case for supporting mage rights if he weren’t possessed by Justice. He became the stereotype, making deals with spirits for power. Yes, it was in order to be heard, but how far is too far? He is a tragic character and the issues he brings up aren’t too far from the truth. The “N.O” Cat is definitely a mood pin. It stands for the “Not Okay” cat, and is definitely how I wake up feeling sometimes. Just wake up and look out the window and go “Can we please not today?” (That might have been this morning.) The N.O.
