These gorgeous pink donuts have a fluffy, sweet inside and are a delightful treat. Ideal for a special event or when you just want something bright and colorful.
Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 2 tsp baking powder. 1/2 tsp salt. 1/2 cup milk. 2 large eggs. 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted. 1 tsp vanilla extract. Pink food coloring as desired. Powdered sugar for dusting. Vegetable oil for frying.
Instructions: Mix the baking powder, salt, granulated sugar, and all-purpose flour in a mixing bowl. Mix the melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract in a different bowl. Stirring constantly, slowly incorporate the wet mixture into the dry mixture until a dough forms. To get the color you want, add pink food coloring and stir thoroughly. Preheat vegetable oil to 350F 175C in a deep fryer or large pot. On a surface dusted with flour, roll out the pink dough to a thickness of about 1/2 inch. Cut out donut shapes using a donut cutter. Reroll and cut any leftover scraps of dough. The donuts should be carefully lowered into the heated oil and cooked for two to three minutes on each side, or until golden brown. After taking the donuts out of the oil, pat dry with paper towels. Dust the donuts with powdered sugar while they're still warm. Present and savor your delectable pink doughnuts!
