Lilly Dipping
Today we decided it was time for some nature, so we made our way to a kayak rental store. The good folks at Chiang Mai Mountain Biking & Kayak dropped us off about 12 kilometers up the Ping River with a high-quality tandem.
The first 6km of the paddle were quite rural, with lots of birds and pretty foliage. At about the halfway point, we pulled up at a riverside resort for a little break.
Lunch was a phenomenal red curry, made not too spicy just for us (mai ped!). Best red curry I've ever had. They must have herbs or spices here that are not available at home. We got to check out the resort pool while our meal was being prepared.
Finally, we made our way back into the city to drop off our equipment. And by "we", I mean mostly James. I helped some. Mostly I took pictures.
