While these Spicy Hawaiian Chicken Burgers taste like summer, they also have a kick of heat. They are great for summer BBQs or any time you want a spicy burger because they are made with ground chicken, pineapple, and spicy seasonings.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground chicken. 1/2 cup breadcrumbs. 1/4 cup diced pineapple. 1/4 cup diced red bell pepper. 1/4 cup diced red onion. 1/4 cup chopped cilantro. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 jalapeo pepper, minced. 1 tsp paprika. 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper. Salt and pepper to taste. 4 burger buns. 4 slices Swiss cheese. Lettuce and tomato slices for garnish. Mayonnaise and barbecue sauce for dressing.
Instructions: Ground chicken, breadcrumbs, diced pineapple, diced red bell pepper, diced red onion, chopped cilantro, minced garlic, minced jalapeo pepper, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper should all be mixed together in a bowl. Combine well. Split the mixture in half and shape each half into a burger patty. Set the grill or grill pan over medium-high heat to get it hot. Use oil to grease the grates so they don't stick. As soon as you put the chicken burger patties on the grill, cook them for 5 to 6 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165F 74C. Add a slice of Swiss cheese to top of each patty in the last minute of cooking to melt it. As the burgers are cooking, put the burger buns on the grill and toast them until they're golden brown. Put lettuce and tomato slices on the bottom half of each toasted bun to make the burgers. Add a cooked chicken patty with cheese that has melted on top of the plants. Put a small amount of barbecue sauce and mayonnaise on the top half of each bun. To finish the burger, put the top bun on top of the patty. Warm it up and serve it with your favorite sides. Take a bite of your Spicy Hawaiian Chicken Burger.
