There has been research done on the daughters of Boit. I always loved, love love this painting. It reminds me of photographs of today. A moment caught in time. Carefully organized or not organized. Looking towards the artist, away. Aware and hiding. One still young enough to be unaware until the last second. I haven't seen it in person. The daughters donated to the museum in Boston. Also standing on each side of the painting the giant vases.
