Pilot!Haru for @kawaiisumis' The Mile High Club (HaruGou) series âď¸ Trying to find my own art style and learning how to colour. Gou in her air hostess uniform next!
Kataang Pilot!AU
(This prompt was really fun. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it, Anon!)
Words: 1,659
*********************************
Katara met him when they were in flight school. Well, âmetâ might be too strong a word.
She was walking down the hall and contemplating fluid dynamics when she passed himâthe boy with tattoos a shade of blue that put the sky to shame and with a smile so bright that she had to squint to behold it. His laugh was a vapor trail that made her giddy like nothing else had done before. He gesticulated so animatedly that he nearly cut off the heads of a dozen passers-by.
Katara tried, once, to talk to him. It was the only test in flight school that she failed. She was too quiet; the world was too loud. It didnât exactly help that some boy named Haru had pulled the tattooed boy into a headlock that devolved into a wrestling match just as she got his attention.
He tried, twice, to talk to her. He was more than successful both times.
The first time, he spotted her from across the courtyard and damn near teleported to her.
His name was Aang. He wasnât that tall.
He was the kindest soul sheâd ever met.
When he left the school, he took most of her with him, and Katara had been searching for what he stole ever since.
1) I'm not quite sure what's going on with... vampire Lewis, but I love it 2) /what is the Arthur in a uniform, I have a desperate need to know pls/ ;; u ;;
In regards to 1): That is my friend like-clockwork-lewâs vampire!Lewis from a thread I did on discord a long while ago! The most you need to know about him is that on a drama scale from one to ten, his is probably a fifteen. That picture was a digitalized version from a sketchbook of his response when Arthur told him the internet could lie because he is all the Exra⢠lol
As for 2), The Arthur in the uniform is my Ghost Pilot!AU Arthur. I adore him, and heâs basically an AU where Arthur is the ghost, but the difference is that Arthur was actually alive in the 1940s, and was a pilot during world war two. He was considered a small town hero when he came home from fighting in the war- but a few years after being home, he was murdered. Because of the violence of his death, he didnât pass on, and instead his spirit got attached to his plane- which was later made into a monument at a college campus close by. A college which, in this au, Vivi and Lewis are both attending in different years.
Lewis likes to hang out near the plane when he eats lunch because itâs quiet, and Arthur appears to him, because he looks like Louis, Arthurâs best friend. He gets Viviâs help because he isnât a huge supernatural fan yet, and shenanigans ensue. Arthur doesnât remember most of his life, and heâs trapped in a lot of his memories- he even thinks Lewis and Vivi are people he knew and refers to them as if they are those people as he relives âscenesâ of his life. Vivi and Lewis humor him because theyâre trying to understand why heâs here and potentially help him move on if he needs it.
Over time though, he starts becoming more self aware and develops a friendship with the two in the present, coming to realize they may look similar, but they are unique and special, and arenât the people he used to know at all (and perhaps heâs better for it :3c ).Â
But guys imagine pilot!Hoseok like dang

A/N: So I wrote this on the plane today on the way home to keep me amused for a little while so itâs probably a load of rubbish đ. Also I have this beautiful mental image of Greg in a pilots uniform and itâs engraved in my mind foreverâŚ
ââââââââ
âNextâŚâ You called and glanced above your computer screen, smiling at the smartly dressed pilot in front of you âWell, if it isnât my favourite pilot.â You smirked and grabbed your metal detection wand âWhere are we off to today, captain Lestrade?â
âCopenhagen and then a return flight this evening,â he replied and took off his hat and jacket and you scanned him. âHowâs things in security?â
âSame as always but at least I deal with the crew and not the public, that security area is always horrendously busyâ. You placed down your wand and tapped a few things into the computer âDo you have any sharp objects on you?â You asked with a small smirk, like you always did, âAnything at all?â
âNo I donât,â Greg replied and placed back on his jacket and cap âDo you always ask that question in such a flirty tone?â
âNot to everyone, only you,â you winked and he playfully rolled his eyes âI also did your pre-flight cabin security checkâ.
âIâm sure youâve done a fantastic job as always,â he praised and you lightly punched his arm âWhat! Iâm being serious!â He let out a small chuckle âAnyway I need to be off. Iâll see you later on tonight and probably tomorrow when youâll give me another scan with your wand and then turn a serious security question into an innuendoâ.
âYou might get lucky and Iâll give you a full body pat downâŚyouâre due one soon,â you teased and Greg grabbed his small cabin bag.
âIâll be waiting with anticipation, Y/Nâ Greg waved goodbye as you wished him a safe journey and you watched him disappear through a set of frosted glass doors.
âNextâŚâ
Later on the evening Greg rushed though the terminal to where youâd be waiting for him.
âYou're late,â your voice was heavy with exhaustion âAnd I had to wait for you because your flight was my last to check offâ.
âI know, air traffic control grounded us for two hours because of weather, sorry I kept you here.â When your eyes met his you could have melted at how sincere and sorry they looked.
You shook your head âItâs alright, I practically live here anyway. Letâs get your passport checkedâ you extended your hand and took it from him.
You opened it up and flickered your eyes between Greg and his photo before breathing in a long, sharp gasp of air âSorry but you look nothing like this person on the passportâŚâ You joked and Greg raised a brow, clearly confused, this was a new joke you were playing on him âYup, I mean, look how handsome this guy is on the photo here! It clearly canât be you.â
Gregâs eyebrow lowered and he glared at you whilst grabbing his passport.
You let out a laugh and turned off your computer âThatâs what you get for holding me back, your crew were out way quicker before youâ.
âI had some flight assessments to do, a captain never leaves until everyone else is offâ Greg explained and you began to walk out with him.
You had known each other for almost four years now, Greg started flying from your airport a few months after you joined. You were assigned as security officer for airline crews and once a week you did a pre-flight cabin inspection.
You reached the main entrance of the airport and turned to face him again âI guess Iâll see you tomorrow before your flight to Paris,â you told him and he nodded.
âI guess Iâll see you tomorrow to wave your magic wand over me and carry out your other safety duties,â Greg smirked and played with the handle of his cabin bag. âHave you ever been?â Greg asked after a moment of silence.
A wave of confusion spread over your face âHave I ever been where?â
âParis?â He simply replied.
You shook your head âNo I havenât, maybe one dayâŚmaybe you can fly me there,â you playfully teased and Greg shrugged his shoulders.
âYou never know, Paris is closer than you think,â you began to slowly make your way thorough the car park âCan- can I give you a lift home?â He stuttered out.
âOh thatâs alright my carâs just-â you pointed over his shoulder and Greg turned around âItâs just over there, but thank you for the offerâ.
Greg nodded and you both went your separate ways.
You both tossed and turned that night, barely getting a wink of sleep thinking about the other. When either of you thought of the other it felt like your hearts were taking off, that the feelings you felt towards one another weâre like the moment the tyres lifted off the runway.
Yet you were both soaring into something you werenât familiar with. Greg had never really had a relationship, he was too busy in the skies. You were always busy too on the ground making sure all the cabin crew and pilots made it though security safely and securely.
The next morning you trudged into work and started up your computer just in time it would have seemed as five polished and perfectly preened air hostesses walked though with their heads held high and wearing even higher heels. You let out a sigh and grabbed the passport of the first woman quickly checking her in.
âOh there he is!â One whispered to the woman next to her and the two glanced over to Greg as he walked up to the security check in for the crew, they both bit down on their bottom lip as they drooled over him. You let out an aggravated huff and harshly slammed down on your computer keys.
âNextâŚâ You involuntary spat out at the next woman and she raised a brow as you quickly checked her in.
âNextâŚâ Your voice and eyes softened seeing that Greg was next âMorning Tom Cruiseâ.
Greg took off his hat and jacket again, letting out a breathy chuckle âA top gun reference? Really?â
âWell I do feel the needâŚâ You began and looked at Greg to finish the sentence.
ââŚthe need for speed!â You gave him a high five and both of you shared a laugh.
You grabbed your wand âAlright Goose, arms outâ. You quickly scanned him.
Greg chortled âAm I getting a full body pat down, Maverick?â You placed down your wand and pursed your lips.
âWell, you are due one. I can get a guy to do it if you donât want me to fondle you.â Greg let out a snort of laughter and shook his head no so you began lightly patting your hands over him. âYour tenseâŚâ You whispered, thinking aloud.
Greg gulped but didnât answer you as you gently patted up and down his legs, brushing your fingertips a little too far up his inner thigh. He let out a small moan under his breath just as you stood up straight âThatâs youâŚno sharp objects foundâ.
âYetâŚâ Greg spoke under his breath before placing on his jacket and cap.
âSafe travels Goose, Iâll see you tonightâ you typed up a few things and he moved on. You looked up above the computer monitor and let out a small gasp seeing the small cabin bag sitting there. You quickly grabbed it and rushed after him âGreg!â You hollered out and ran as fast as you could before you crashed into the pilots arms.
âY-your caseâŚâ You spoke out as you caught your breath, although it disappeared as quickly as you found it when you realised you were in his arms. âYour case,â you spoke more confidently as you straightened yourself out.
âThanks Y/N, Iâll remember that next time you want an upgrade on a flight Iâm charteringâ he winked and took it off you âI really have to goâ.
You nodded âYeah! Totally, no problem! Safe flight to Paris!â your voice began to tremble before you turned around and walked back to the security area.
Hours later Greg was delayed again and you were waiting behind for him. You tapped your pen off the desk and rested your chin on the palm of your hand.
The automatic doors opened to security and you let out a sigh of relief âItâs about damn time!â
âSorry Iâm late!â He sounded exhausted.
You raised a brow at his lack of bag, jacket and cap âWhereâs your stuff?â
âCome with me,â he outstretched his hand and you reluctantly took it, shutting down your computer beforehand.
âWhere are we going?â You asked as you rushed though the airport terminal looking onwards towards a gate you were both running to. âGreg! Its restricted access I canât get passed this point.â
âGood job my ID gets us passed that then isnât it?â He swiped his card and the doors to the taxiway opened. He pulled you to a small Airbus craft and brought you on board.
âGreg wh-â you were lost for words seeing the cabin dimly lit and the cockpit of the plane scattered with orange, fake candles.
âThey didnât let me use real onesâŚâ He trailed off and awkwardly scratched the back of his neck.
You slowly made your way to the front of the plane and placed your hands over your mouth to conceal your gasps of delight âItâs so beautiful, thank you.â
Greg sat you down in one of the pilots seats and handed you a plastic tray with French cheese, French bread and French wine âSince youâve never been, I picked up some things before taking off in Parisâ.
You wiped away a stray tear of happiness and thanked him again. You both sat and had a bite to eat chatting about Gregâs ventures around the globe. âYannoâŚâ You trailed off and made yourself comfortable in the pilots seat âIâve always wanted to see your cockpit,â you winked and Greg burst out laughing. You poked his knee âYou have a filthy mind, talking about filth how many people do you reckon have joined the mile high club on this plane?â
Greg let out a groan âOh god do I have to answer that?!â He laughed and you shook your head.
âSo people probably have huhâŚâ The cockpit fell into a bubble of silence âWhy did you do this for me?â You asked.
Gregâs gaze avoided yours as much as he could but he finally found your eyes âYou gave me my bag earlier and honestly, you are the best part of my job.â
Your gaze fell slightly and a blush crept up on your face âYou donât mean thatâ you whispered.
âI really do,â Greg admitted âI look forward to flying because I know Iâll get to see you beforehand.â You felt his hands intertwine with yours âI really like you Y/N, an airplane canât take me to the places your eyes do when I look into them.â
You both leaned over the various controls and gently pressed your lips against his. They moved in sync for a moment before leaning over the controls got too uncomfortable. You both let out a breathy chuckle and pressed your foreheads together âLet me take you to Paris,â Greg spoke as softly as he could âI can get us a private jet whenever suits you best and I wonât fly, Iâll get a friend of mine to so I can devote all my time and attention to you. Iâll take you to wherever you want, whenever you wantâŚâ He spoke out in one continuous breath before you softly kissed him again.
âIâll go anywhere with youâ.
