Artificial Disappointment|| [closed; misforstatt, pikesuruu]]
All experiments have a certain percentage worked into the statistics to provide as a failsafe. A margin of error as it were. The experiment wasn't supposed to go wrong and create such a disaster, such an utter and complete failure of an experiment.
Izuru Kamukura fell in this margin of error.
It's not that he sabotaged the experiment or destroyed research. The experiment had an unexpected two factors no one had anticipated. The first factor was the element of humanity itself, as the body they were using still was that of a human being. The second factor was Junko Enoshima.
It's not entirely fair to place all the blame on her, however. He had followed after her in his own free will, whether a matter of her bringing a light of interest into the darkness that surrounded him like his own engrossing hairline, or whether it was a matter of defiance against the very people who brought him to exist, even izuru himself didn't fully know. All he truly was able to garner though, was the emergence of regret in his actions, contempt for himself and who he came to be, anger and bitterness toward those who created him.
And thus is why he sat on the cot in the science building, looking through files and photos, in a sense an album of him growing up, baby photos that ended with him, currently, two years old. It was silent and dark in the lab, dull glow of abandoned instruments, as if the researchers were to one day resume work on him, as the only things keeping him company.
