prompted by my jewellery post i got incredibly caught up in what piercings the PCs would have. i donβt think any of them are actually particularly pierced, especially in the mercenary line of work (huge snag territory) and with the lack of scientific medical knowledge in world. these are βif they WANTED a piercing what ones would they getβ
starting with cel and grizzop who i think would have the most experience being pierced. cel would use them as a gender affirming tool no doubt! i think they would also enjoy retiring piercings and how piercings teach you to work with and consider your body more kindly. i think grizzop would do a lot of suspension/play piercing and scarification work in the church of artemis. scarification is literally canon for them and suspension would definitely be used as a prayer tool. iβve written here he would have had a madison piercing and i also think that would be a challenge undertaken as part of his paladin training. i think divine healing and alchemy both would be a great tool for easing the healing process of tough healers (large gauge, surface work, cheek piercings) BUT itβs boring if it just healed it immediately. i think you would still really have to put the work in even if you were using prayer or potions instead of isotonic saline!

ID: two annotated digital drawings, of cel and grizzop. they are front facing floating heads with lots of piercings.
cel has two eyebrow piercings on the right side, a single point dermal anchor on their left side cheek, three pairs of nostril piercings fitted with discs, and two low lip piercings. in their full ear they have three lobe piercings, a daith poercing, two helix piercings and a forward helix all fitted with small hoops. in their partially missing ear they have a large gemstone plug in their lobe and a flat piercing with a bat shaped attachment. the annotations describe their piercings and also says that they love surface work due to its temporary nature and that they have had every body and genital piercing they have had the anatomy for, now THAT is gender affirming care.
grizzop has two pairs of inner eyebrow piercings fitted with curved barbells with spikes on the top and balls on the bottom, and three outer eyebrow piercings fitted with hoops. he has nostril piercings fitted with spikes and a metal bridle between them. he has cheek piercings that are plain ball ends and two low lip piercings that have large spikes. he has three large gauge ear piercings, two in the right side and one on the left, they are fitted with rings. he also has two notches out of his left side ear. the annotations describe his piercings, say he has paired tongue piercings, and also that he has had a so many piercings in his lifetime, that piercings are a vehicle for more spikes and that he had a maddison piercing for a (relatively) long time but that it is gone now
