FIRST : I DON'T CARE ANYMORE WHO SEES THIS BECAUSE I CANNOT BE ARSED FOR HATERS... So, today is Trans* Visibility Day - basically like a signal boost for the trans* community, a chance for them to be recognised and to raise awareness. SO. As many of you may well know I am indeed transgender. This is when my gender identity does not match with my assigned sex at birth. You may be well wondering 'who... In the HEYLL is that in those pictures?' Well, unfortunately, these are the different stages of my transition. From left to right, top to bottom are the stages of my transition in chronological order. The first is 2009(ish) - pre-Trans* if you will. This was when I had no clue who I was, not because I didn't know of trans*, but because I was raised with homophobic viewpoints and refused to accept the thought of me being trans*. The next is 2012, when I first came out and tried to look like a male idol to try and pass more, dressing in only male clothes. But I was pre-anything! No blockers, nothing, only the micro-pill, but I began to come out and many friends accepted me (those in the picture). 2013 is when I still tried everyday. Depression was at it's most severe point (hence the black hair and Metal-music-only attitude) and I went out less. I still had longer hair to cover my face and be like an emo boy (why, I don't know) but I kept getting recognised as 'miss' or 'her' which obviously made my depression worse. This has clearly left (both physical and mental) scars, but they are battle wounds. They have made me into the proud, stuck-up, more confident man you see today, in that 2015 photo. I'd like to thank those who have been there for me, whether we still speak or not, whether you know you're supported me or not. My cocky attitude may make me seem unappreciative- but I am, Truly. And it is days like this that I get to express that. Thank you so much.
