"The First Chirp - LIGO Hanford, 2015" 🐦 My artistic rendition of the first gravity wave detection (GW150914) at LIGO. On September 14th, 2015 LIGO detected the merger of a pair of black holes. As two black holes dance around each other, spiraling closer and closer to their final merger - the frequency of the gravity waves increases and the resulting sound is like a bird's chirp. A partir do ponto inicial o corpo descreve uma trajetória parabólica que pode ser analisada em dois movimentos separados : na horizontal o corpo não sofre ação de nenhuma força, então não acelera, fazendo um movimento uniforme; já na vertical, o corpo acelera para baixo como em uma queda livre, assim sua velocidade vai aumentando a cada instante. O espirro obviamente não é um simples lançamento horizontal de gotas de saliva. As gotículas são muito pequenas (micrômetros) então sua interação com as moléculas de ar é complexa. Porém, um estudo mostra que a velocidade inicial de algumas gotas fica em torno de 6m/s, e estima um alcance tanto para as gotas de espirro quanto de tosse, até que entrem em difusão com o ar. Mas para simples contextualização da Física o exemplo é bem útil.
