finding it very hard to tell how color blind i am...(bonus anxiety tip)
as someone who is PART colorblind and can not see most reds, oranges and yellows i can still see hues and shades just fine.
someone who sees on a grey scale will also be able to tell you the difference between two colors by being able to tell you if one is lighter or darker then the other.
i cant tell you what color it is but i can tell you if i see a sudden change.
ive taken quite a few ‘color blind’ tests and have gotten great results, in fact most say i am not color blind at all. yet as an artist i can tell you ive been corrected MANY times by others telling me i see colors differently then them, this isn’t a small difference either its major and very noticeable.
i took a ‘put these colors in order test’ and even though i could not see what some of the colors were i got 99% as i put them in order from light to dark.....
im wondering if anyone has taken an official color test from a doctor and can tell me what it entails?
ive also been playing around with the color features on my phone and there are some settings for three different color blind effects. one mutes colors and im finding it very enjoyable to use my phone without high bright colors glaring, it seems to help my anxiety very much! reds (the ones i can see) aren’t glaring and seem not to be screaming ‘CLICK ME NOW OR ITS YOUR DOOM’ its a great little feature to make everything equal and not have stuff imposing on you when you are trying to enjoy and un-stress.
