STAN PAINTING "VERY" AND "NIGHT MULCH"

I heard about closed eye vision in 2008 from my teacher, experimental filmmaker, Phil Solomon. He talked about it with his friend and colleague, Stan Brakhage. It's the shapes and colors you see behind your eyelids. Before i started the closed eye vision project, i assumed everyone saw something similar when they closed their eyes. But a C.E.V. portrait is as unique and varied as the person's portrait. Everyone has something new and different to share.
