I think people exaggerated a tease he made during a reaction watch. I can't remember the actual episode numbers, but he and Perth were guest reactors for like an episode behind what was being shown. One of the reactors mentioned Ram's tats, and Talay checked with Perth because he couldn't remember if that episode had aired but I think he meant the ep where King's high on meds and stroking Ram's dreamcatcher. He didn't want to spoil so he left out details and it blew up

A was on the fence, but a gay French fox is the last straw. I will watch this movie this weekend.

Have they shown an interest in ice cubes? The ice slides all over the floor in a way my family cats adore, so all of our monsters know the sound of the fridge door ice dispenser.

No, they don’t tend to like cold stuff -- they won’t even eat cold wet food. I’ve tried ice cubes both in bowls and on the floor, but they just sniff them and wander off.

She’s mostly just confused as to how she ended up in that configuration. It’s the least pettable of all lap positions!

One of my two (sibling) kittens has always been the slow one, the one who was last to explore, who doesn't climb, who is perfectly happy to lounge near you for hours and be belly-rubbed to oblivion. He's also the one who opens the dry food bag by removing the clothespin on top and unrolling it, rather than tearing into it, so y'know, dim is a very relative concept... =D

That’s exactly it -- she is less destructive than Polk (doesn’t knock things off shelves getting up them, doesn’t chew on plastic, doesn’t rummage in the toy bin) but she manages to cause more trouble, somehow.

I have a dog like that. You'd be tempted to think she's dumb because she's not nearly as intensely curious or hyper affectionate like her sister but the opposite is true. She's laying on the nice cold floor and refusing to go out because she knows it's too hot to be outside, she doesn't need to poke and prod at things, thank you, she's seen them already, she's fine, she'll just have another nap until the weather's more reasonable.

Reminds me of a photo I once posted of the dogs I was dogsitting, where the Big Dumb One was on the futon and the Small Irritatingly Smart One was underneath. Someone said it was so sad the Big Dumb One bullied the Small Smart One off the futon, and I was like “Oh, no, she bullied him onto it. It’s like 80 degrees here and the floor’s nice and cold.”

If you figure out how to keep your cell phone on the nightstand, please share the trick. My beast has cracked the last two screen protectors I bought doing the same trick. Not sure how to get them to lose interest in the phone, but they only bother when I'm trying to sleep.

I think probably just putting it in a little tray with a lip on it will do the trick -- she’s too lazy to do much problem-solving. But we’ll see! I have a few other ideas in reserve.

There's a school of study of animal behaviour that places individual behavioural profile on a shy/bold axis; this separation in not only in regards to what it says on the tin, but also a kind of active/passive; curious/cautious etc sort of classification. Anyway, I think this might be what you're dealing with, two different behavioural profiles along that axis :)

Guess I'm not the only one who was surprised to see a hot water system sitting out in the open! Just to add to the data being compiled, even in the oldest houses that I've lived in (20's and 40's respectively, and the latter was built a decade before the electricity network reached it) they've always been hidden in a cupboard, usually in the laundry.* Modern houses often seem to have them outside, though I guess that isn't exactly feasible in a flat in snow country!

I have seen the water heaters in bathrooms, but typically in other countries or different parts of the States. The ones I've seen in the South are usually tucked away in closets or placed with other unsightly appliances in a garage or laundry room. Taking into account outside temps, I wonder if it's easier to have the tank out of the way in an area where winter is a myth.

mine has always been either in the laundry, tucked away into a cupboard somewhere, or on the outside of the building, depending on when it was built and what type of building it is

Ohhh, I see where the misconception is coming in with these comments! It is actually in a closet, it’s just that photo doesn’t really show it. The closet door is open because that’s where their litterbox lives, so it might as well be out in the open, but in design terms it’s “hidden” behind a door in the bathroom. That white column with the towel hanging on it is actually a folding door that’s folded open.
