I would like to congratulate Mr. Boun Noppanut Guntachai and Mr. Prem Warut on their contribution to Revamp because I'm pretty sure they are not aware on how this episode rewrote the entire chemistry of my brain, while singlehandedly shutting down all the baseless rumors about the series and avenging his name.
BounPrem are not aware of any of the tumultuous thoughts that ran through my head while I was watching the episode, on how watching Ramil retrace all his steps to everything that ever happened between him and Punn, since the first scene from the beginning (where he said his name to Punn)
to the scene where he saved Punn from Methus (and this explaining why he was wearing black, when seconds ago he was seen in white)
to the rooftop scene (and how we initially thought that it was just a weird dream, then we thought Ramil was manipulating Punn's mind, to we seeing him actively walking into the same scenario and actively engaging on it)
(which, with the information that he can memory walk, makes his reaction when Punn was talking about the weird dream more significant. Ramil knew something had happened, he could even have a slight idea as to what was going on, explaining why he was so calm during that confrontation and initiating a conversation about a knife he knew neither he or Methus had put on the bed).
Then we have present!Ramil explaining why he sidetracked on their current mission, saying that moment, that confrontation they had over the fact that Punn was a hunter, sent specifically to kill the last remaining (known at the time) member of the Jonoel family, was the push that made their relationship possible
(a quick note, something that I found interesting: when Punn says "so you're who took my knife", he's talking specifically about the Ramil that was by his side on that moment, not the Ramil from the past. It's a distinction that helps the viewers really understand how those decisions Ramil had made since he got into Punn's memories really helped them get to where they were at that moment. Had that Ramil ignored the sexy time, when Methus almost killed Punn or even Punn distressed on the garden, their mutual feelings and the subsequent freeing Ramil from the curse wouldn't have happened)
with Punn then asking Ramil to help him remember that it had been him the person responsible for saving him in the past, catapulting us right into the orphanage scene.
where we finally got the full scope of what happened that night (and also the explanation as to how Punn could've have helped Ramil get his mind reading powers back when he was just a normal human)
and how Feratu, a vampire, ended up bedridden just for the fire, something that wouldn't even make a scratch on him.
Every single major point in Punn's life had a little touch from Ramil, taking us back to their conversation before they started the whole memory walking thing, where Punn talked about Ramil leaving something, some sort of "trace", that could lead him to Ramil in the future and Ramil, being a vampire of his words, did exactly that. Because, just like Ramil promised that they would meet each other again someday, he also promised that he would make everything to make sure their paths would cross and they would have their happy ever after.
And because Boun wouldn't be satisfied with just frying my brain and making me reevaluate everything I've seen since episode one, he decided to include my favorite (or one of my favorites) plots, family. It was bound to happen, because it's a New's series, and the man LOVE a good found family trope, but seeing Ciar realize that he didn't need to feel all alone, full of rage, that he had backup on Ramil, Methus and Mekin, that they would always be there for him and never abandon him, was them healing a wound I never knew I had; and don't get me started on how I can imagine how the conversation between Ramil and Ciar went during their way back to the hotel:
"Ramil: Ciar, I'm gonna need you to unclench a little, to stop clutching your pearls all the time, to stop twisting your briefs in a bunch. Relax and be polite"
Because that's the only explanation to that scene where he was being his angry self with Punn and, seconds later, became polite, asking for help, not lashing out, with Ramil smiling proudly in the back.
And the scene where Ciar was sulking because Punn was not giving him attention? For then we have Ramil sulking because Punn called Ciar "cute" in front of him? Of I didn't know better, would say that both Ramil and Ciar got the sulking genes from their parents. Also, the dinner scene was totally immaculate, no notes, 100/10, recommend watching every two hours for clear skin and good health.
Anyways, I'm pretty sure I'll never recover myself from this episode, the same way I never recovered myself from the scene where Team went to Win's room for the first time, the tutoring scene, the broccoli scene on the mall during the Christmas holidays, or even the scene where they confessed their feelings for EACH other. It doesn't matter in which universe, BounPrem always manage to surprise me, get me hooked and addicted to them.
And I'm right where I wanna be.
