Meet Cricket (Don’t tell Owlfish yet!) 🦗 The newest member of the family joined us last night on a whim after going to the pet store to pick up more crickets for our bearded dragon (#philomenathebeardie) We definitely weren’t intending to also bring home a cat, but she definitely called out to us from the adoption window. Came to find out that she hadn’t really been eating, going potty, or even moving much for a while. But we came in to see her. And she came down, snuggled, played with us, and sealed the deal on our hearts. For all intents and purposes, I shoved a cat into the baby shaped hole in my heart that I’ve been nursing since our loss in February. But we love her. All she wants is to snuggle and be loved on. She ate a whole bowl of food and went potty when we brought her home. Last night, Mina was so agitated and wouldn’t stop surfing her tank. So we took her out and let her roam the hallway near our bedroom. After she did a few laps and tried to climb the molding, she dug into the corner near my knee, curled up, and went right to sleep. Barely moved when I picked her up to put her back in her tank.
