Cheap, illiterate, ignorant, and low standards are few of the reasons why majority of the Philippine population would prefer mediocre movies. And the mainstream media wants to keep it that way. Quantity over quality. Popularity over self worth. They want to keep the majority stupid. And there's a correlation to this between the media and politics. If the majority would prefer tacky, mediocre films because of popularity then they would do the same in voting. They would vote for someone who is popular instead of someone who is competent. Class, literacy and standards are underrated while cheap bullshit is mainstream. The scary thing about this is people are too stubborn to realize this. Many of whom who try to free them from this insanity are being punished for speaking their mind. They are being punished by the same people they are trying to save. This is my opinion, you can roll your eyes at it all you want. I don't care. You want me to change my opinion? Then prove me wrong.
