Everyday, you see thousands of opinions, news, and testimonies current events. Most people these days tend to simply believe in posts as long as they appear to be supported by the vast majority. This is the fatal flaw in the past generations. They are all too easily swayed by social media posts to the point that skepticism isn’t even in their vocabulary at all. As puzzling as the word may seem to those who haven’t heard of it, it is not a bad thing at all. In fact, it is the solution to our country’s damned fate. When the day comes that the vast majority of Filipinos finally have a firm grasp of skepticism, that is the day when we will finally be a true democratic country. The government will ultimately be forced to listen to all of our cries. The cries of an educated country.

Technological advancements have indeed made our lives easier. Although, in terms of media, it has made the biggest impact.

Small tidbits of information will always be helpful for those who aren’t that knowledgable.

Ever since Filipinos have had a firm grasp on technology and the internet, it is not uncommon that whatever issue they hear about in social media, they immediately believe it. Once that nonsense has registered into their “canvas” (in this case, their brain), it is generally difficult to add another “layer” (the truth about the alleged issue).
