It seemed as though he would be unable to access the morphogenetic field here. A stunting seemed to have occurred within him, and he imagined his only chance of even utilizing it would be when it would be most powerful - when he was with his sister.

He couldn’t decided if the fact that he couldn’t reach her was a good or a bad thing.

And yet, while he could not access it, he felt the waning of his own power giving way to a more powerful presence. It was a way to sense without accessing even when accessing was prohibited. It was minute, but there.

[Clover?] No. And whoever it was did not seem to hear him.

for a starter

          Jotaro had a shopping basket full of food, a variety of cans, instant noodles, and a small carton of eggs. These were all obviously the items on sale in the store that had several shattered windows with plastic taped over them and yellow tape and signs warding guests from it. There were many questions, sure, but he figured those would be answered on his own time.

          Standing in one aisle that had literally nothing but a few cans and at least one spatula, Jotaro stood in front of a shelf that read 'Bread, $1.95' across the red and yellow sign. What a pain, the second store he came across was also out of the same stuff.
