I totally understand and agree with the stand about wikia. I too was a bit surprised when Victor’s name was spelled with K in his article. :o Fans can do their own stuff and make their own decisions but I would like to think wikias as places where I can get the official information. :) I wasn’t aware that Yuuri wasn’t the official spelling since at least in the Japanese title it’s written as Yuuri (ユーリ) instead of Yuri. :O The Kanji in his name (勇) is also read as ‘yuu’.

People are free to spell it whichever way they like. I spell Yuuri’s name with two u’s even though the official spelling is Yuri, mostly for clarity’s sake/avoiding confusion. It gives me cringes to see people spelling Victor’s name wrong, but w/e, I’m not gonna go witch-hunting people who use the K.

What I do take issue with is that a medium that should be based on official factual information such as is a wikia is using an incorrect spelling just because their admins think it’s more “culturally appropriate” [sic]. It’s irresponsible because now more and more people seem to think that is the correct spelling, when it’s not, and they’re betraying the purpose of the Wiki -to be a reliable source of objective information- for the sake of their personal preferences. 

Well, in my limited understanding of Russian his name would probably be Viktor. In Russian the ‘c’ sound in words like clock, cage and Victor is designated to letter K. The Russian letter C is pronounced more like S in words like soup or seed. So technically you can’t write Victor with C in Russian. In my knowledge the proper Cyrillic

writing of this name would be Виктор. So with K. (Sorry I accidentally pressed enter mid sentance. :''D) I'm not Russian though so I can't be 100% sure with this and the official spelling in anime seems to be with C.

The correct spelling of his name is Victor. It is written Victor in the official website, in every instance that it appears on screen, and in all the official merchandise.
