Hey Maz! Wondering if you have any tips for timing action shots with horses - I find it difficult to time a jump shot so I'm catching a horse in that typical arcing up over the jump shot. I usually get it a split second before or a split second after. Also wondering if you have tips on getting good walk/trot/canter shots. I will get them by chance but have a hard time timing the shot so it catches the awesome extended trot/canter shots I want.
Im sorry to say i got no easy fix here, it takes practise and even more practise. As long as you have a high shutterspeed you got the basics down :)
I’ve taken so many lovely “almost” photos. Where they are a split second too late, so they look really awkward..
I think the best thing to do it to just keep taking photos. Take ten before taking the camera down to check. 10 pictures of that one jump. You get it after a while :)
