One of the things I really enjoyed this episode is that we finally got to see things from Ink's perspective. It was always clear that she liked Pa, but this episode made it very obvious that that liking is romantic. I think this is the episode in which Aof threw any doubt about Inkpa becoming canon out the window. We got three different BL tropes in this three minute date of theirs.
We got peeling the shrimp:
Suspiciously knowing too much about the other person(I loved Ink coming up with some bullshit about Pat having told her, and I'd really like to know how she actually found out):
Face cleaning/wound tending combined with staring longingly at the other person as the video slows down and romantic music is added:
And I just love how frantic Ink got about stopping Pa from leaving her side:
The only real question I have now is if we'll be gifted with a kiss or not.
Pha meeting ink: wow i canāt wait to make all my future conversations about herā¦
Thinking about how inkpa are communication graduates and pa was already making a movie where we left the story so I'm like convinced inkpa went on to revolutionize the GL industry in Thailand and became canon sapphic storyteller girlfriends who will soon write and direct the GL stories of our dreams!!! You go queens!!!
All fandoms have their issues, in general you have to learn to live with them, be quick to block people and blacklist tags if you feel theyāre affecting you, because seeing so many opinions and rants at once can affect your mental health, particularly if you already have underlying issues. That being said there is one thing that has been bothering me with the bl fandom in general lately, and that is seeing a lot of posts about wanting more variety, wanting different settings and characters. Thereās a lot about ālet queer characters be evilā, ālet queer characters be complex and multifacetedā, but when weāre actually given that thereās an uproar, "what a horrible personā, āitās homophobic to represent queer people like thatā, āhow could the writers do this to me personally after I dedicated so much time on their storyā.
Yes Iām generalizing, but Iāve seen it all too often lately and frankly itās annoying. There are things that must be rejected in media, Iām not saying there isnāt, but as consumers we need to be critical and take into account the context, everything depends on context. We as consumers always have the choice to stop watching, reading, playing, etc if thereās something in it that we donāt agree with, trust me that is a more direct message to the people producing/creating these stories than harassing them.
On that note, writers, directors, actors do not owe you shit, the story is theirs they are telling it as they wish to and then sharing it with us, so if thereās something you wish had been different you open a new word document and write your own story as you want it because itās yours, you have that freedom.
Iām not sure if this is a generational thing, maybe because us older fans grew up with our queer characters being nothing more than headcanons we are quicker to accept when a story doesnāt go how we hoped it would (not all obviously). Donāt get me wrong I admire the younger fans, I love them not settling for queer baiting, for demanding better representation, for calling out companies who profit from queer money but donāt actually care about the communities, but you have to learn to pick your battles, you have to learn to respect other peopleās works, especially queer creators because they are speaking from their own experience and world view, which might not match yours but that doesnāt automatically make it wrong, particularly if there is a cultural difference involved.
With this Iām not saying you shouldnāt complain or criticize, go ahead itās part of the fun and Tumblr for example is a good space to do that. What Iām explicitly saying is donāt harass people just because your ship didnāt become canon, and if you want more complex characters you have to accept that those characters might have problematic story lines, but at the end of the day they are fictional so itās your job as an actual human person to not go out and replicate those behaviors.
Anyway, thatās all I wanted to get off my chest, it might not be the most eloquent but it is what it is.

I'll take that Inkpa picture in the end credits (summary) as a sign that this ship is official.
If Wai interferes with PhaInk i might have to give him up for adoption
