Ananthapuram-III Inter State Transmission System tender awaits tariff discovery
Inter State Transmission System development under PFCCL’s Ananthapuram-III PS REZ Phase-I 3 GW package has moved closer to financial competition. The project is being procured through tariff based competitive bidding on BOOT basis, with single-stage, two-envelope bidding and e-reverse auction.
The package covers major grid infrastructure, including a 765/400 kV and 400/220 kV pooling station, ±300 MVAr STATCOM and Ananthapuram-III–Krishnagiri 765 kV D/C line. The system is meant to support renewable evacuation from Andhra Pradesh’s Ananthapur RE zone. The TSP will carry responsibility for financing, design, construction, approvals, commissioning, O&M and eventual asset transfer.
The key amendment changed the Scheduled COD from 30 months to 36 months from the Effective Date. This affects execution planning without changing the core commercial discipline. Inter State Transmission System tariff pressure will now be shaped by eight qualified bidders, including Adani Energy Solutions, PGCIL, Apraava Energy and G R Infraprojects.
