Peter couldn't deny the logic there, even if the miserable, penny pinching part of him necessary for survival pushed back against the idea of buying that little extra thing for pleasure.

- ash has a tumblr/twitter called 'therealashwilliams' where he gets in flame wars and goes on blocking sprees every day because true crime girlies and conspiracy nuts want to know 'what really happened' at the cabin. his icon is his mugshot.

- peter also has a spiderman tumblr/twitter through a proxy where people either a) think it's a joke account, b) send him random requests (kim possible style), c) ask him if he has an onlyfans (he doesn't. but he's considering it.)

- ash at 3am: would you love me if i was a worm?

peter: [immediately, half-asleep] i'd give you the best terrarium and compost a worm could ask for.

- once ash gets past the toxic masculinity, posturing, in denial of bisexuality phase, he's always trying to take of peter, trying to get him to relax, and always complimenting him. but he can't handle it when peter does it back.

he gets shy and insecure. he's convinced peter will eventually get tired of him and move on (despite the fact that peter is like. obsessed with him lol. and gets jealous of everyone who hits on him).
