For some reason I really like the idea of Happy being super protective of Peter, but only when Peter is not around. Like he would never show any indifference to the kid's feelings when he is actually with him, but if someone ever dared to speak bad about Peter in Happy's presence he would do whatever he could to defend Pete's honor. My main thought for that was one of the front office people whispering rumors about how Peter wormed his way into working with Mr. Stark by guiltripping him or they're calling Peter a charity case. Then they started laughing at some of Peter's more odd (spiderlike) mannerisms (like sensory overloads, sensitivity to temp, and talking A LOT) and just basically talking about how Mr. Stark chose a pretty wimpy intern. Happy hears and just goes off on them, talking about how amazing Peter is and how they would be lucky to even speak to the kid and it ends with Happy telling F.R.I.D.A.Y. to send the security tape of everything the workers had said about Peter directly to Tony immediately. The next day Happy walks Peter in after school and smiles when he sees that the rude employee(s) are no where to be seen. Of course, Peter points out his smile and makes a big deal out of it because "You never smile!" and Happy just pushes him into the elevator. "Shut up Nerd." As the elevator doors close.
