This movie genuinely fantastic and I thoroughly enjoyed it! The characters motivations and progressions felt real and like a continuation from the tv series. Not once did I feel like the characters changed in a way that didn't make sense for the story. Spinel was a fantastic villian, her motivation broke my god damn heart (chalk up another reason pink messed up) and she was enjoyable to watch. The Steg fusion was fantastic and you've probably seen the posts Ive reblogged. Though his design is obviously physically attractive, and we Stan that, the best part about him is that he is a fusion of Steven and Greg, father and son being able to join and show their familial love without a care. Steg is the ideal version of what Steven and Greg think of one another. I think it was fantastic to show more familial love in the show as it did get a little thrown to the wayside for the friendship style fusions. The fact this show does attempt to show familial love in both extremes (,his mother on the bad end and his father on the better end) shows that you can have differing feelings about your parents. I just...I have lots of love for how Rebecca Sugar shows and deals with the love of families and parent Child relationships, it's something I needed back when I was a kid and I'm glad kids these days have it!!
