wait what is camp nano??
Camp NaNo is just like regular NaNoWriMo. But they host it a couple times a summer. They did a session in April and the next session is July. There’s a little more wiggle room: you don’t have to be shooting for writing a 50,000 word novel. You can set your word count goal (or hours, minutes, lines, pages) and pick your category: novel, nonfiction, poetry, revision, script, short stories or other). It’s a whole new world and you have all the control.Â
And then to make it fun and ‘camp,’ you can opt into cabins. Where you can be randomly assigned according to age or genre or word count goal OR you can join a friend in a cabin that you set up and can add people to.

Okay so Luca….He’s originally from Des Moines, Iowa, but he moved to the east coast for school. Everyone thinks he’s dumb because he’s super chatty and popular and wants to be friends with everyone, but he’s a pre-med student and is very good at what he does. His dream is to one day work as a doctor for the Red Cross or some other organization that will allow him to help the less fortunate and those that need help, but can’t afford it. His parents are both Mexican immigrants and they, along with his younger sister, are the most important things in the world to him.
He’s always happy and optimistic. His main hobby is photography, and he earns a little extra money on the side doing that, while he’s in school and working in a grocery store. One of his best traits as a pre-med student isn’t his ability to not stay calm under pressure, but rather the fact that even if he’s internally freaking out, his hands are always steady. Which is actually relevant to his role in Daybreak, tbh. Try to guess what that is, beyond combat medic.
He’s also aroace and a first gen college student
he’s a basically a ray of sunshine personified.
Hiiii <3 I had a great writing session yesterday evening and got the overview for my novel more detailed than it's ever been. I also managed to get some dialogue and other ideas jotted down so yeah, it was fantastic. How have you been? <3
