NaNo Day 1: 2,619 words
A pretty good start, especially considering I started with a rather boring scene. It’s 600 more words than my day 1 last year, I did it in nice chunks, and dedicated time to exercise (50min, 3.75 miles on treadmill).
I was a bit worried about having to be ahead this year, considering during week 4 I am going to be on vacation and don’t want to have to squeeze in writing, but if I do this amount (a little bit more or a little less) at least 9 more times, I will have no problem. And that’s assuming I don’t write anything on the long ass plane rides, which is unlikely.
Now if I can extend this habit past NaNo, I’ll be in great shape.
I want to dress up for Halloween as something new; misc. team rocket grunt 6years in a row is stale. But what costume to make??

Tentative Future Plans (who am I kidding my whole life is a series of tentative plans; this is nothing unique):
-Take GRE Oct. 21 -At some point either before or after, take CBEST and CSET English -Try to get up to Caseworker at NMCRS -Get into the district substitute teacher pool
-Apply for SDSU’s Masters of Social Work program -Apply for UCSD’s Masters of Education/Single Subject Credential Program (yeah I decided to go for teaching again. Somewhere between deciding against law school I forgot that there was no legitimate reason for me not to do that when I really love teaching/educating. Might look into some other schools but I already have all the pre-reqs with ucsd)
-Decide future???
Can't wait to quit my job. I was going to wait until I found another but if Nothing comes up by November I still want to get out. If nothing else changes I'm pretty set for a last day just days before my 1yr ann. there. It's nice to know that the end is nigh.

So now I have to stop being lazy and study for the GRE everyday because if I fuck up it will be a waste of money. I may not make it for this enrollment period but I’m sure as hell gonna try. I realized today that my job at OG is literally fucking ruining me and my motivation and I refuse to let that happen any longer.
Tonight I got one of my managers to admit the reason I haven't moved up to a different position is due to their selfishness. Basically I do my job too well and they're afraid to leave it up to the other hosts to lead (especially on weekend nights) so I've been stuck there. I knew it all along but it's satisfying to have them say it. I was willing to stay there for a bit when I asked to move up months ago (before I got reprimanded for 'insubordination' that is) because the schedule works with my other obligations, but haha fuck them. As soon as I find anything else, I'm out. Now if only those jobs I've been applying to would get back to me...
I started rewatching Heroes and it makes me super nostalgic for the Heroes rp I was in back in high school and writing for it frequently and how much I improved because of it.
