Mercury and Jupiter were just conjunct in Scorpio - on my natal Neptune, in my 12th House - and last night the Moon joined them.
None of those are what we could call “red-letter transits.” Aspects made by the Moon and Mercury are fleeting; and though Jupiter’s last longer, they’re also not as (well) portentous and meaningful as those of the other Gas Giants, the Centaurs, or the TNOs.
So I wasn’t expecting Enlightenment, with harp-strumming angels swarming about my gaping self, but I was sort of hoping for something, you know? Probably not tangible, since (1) that isn’t Neptune’s thing and (2) the action took place in a water sign and a water house.
I had some trouble sleeping (par for the course these days anyway), both getting there and staying there. But when I woke up, clear-headed and alert, it was with a line of scripture repeating through my head, from the 19th Psalm - remember, the four players are Moon, Mercury, Jupiter, and Neptune:
“ May my spoken words and unspoken thoughts be pleasing even to you, O Lord my Rock and my Redeemer.”
You know, if that’s all the “revelation” I’m going to get out of that transit, that’s still pretty impressive. (THANK YOU FOR THAT DEITY.)
After this Sunday, we’re going to have a couple of weeks where there are neither ingresses, nor changes in motion (retrograde or direct). If you have a transit story, send it in! My big dream is a searchable database somewhere, where we can all submit out astrology tales - and look up what happened to other people, in similar circumstances.

Given a choice, most people probably would drive rather than take the bus. Driving provides easy mobility and the flexibility to go anywhere the road goes. However, there is no such thing as a free meal, and driving comes with its own set of problems. Taking the bus, on the other hand, limits your mobility to the bus and presents you with other problems such as overcrowding. But, it has its pros too, such as lower cost and reduced stress in a traffic jam.
So, here are the arguments for and against both driving and taking the bus. Let’s start with driving first.
The pros of driving:
Ease of mobility: Driving your own car, you can go wherever you want as long as the place is accessible by road. You can drive hundreds of miles without having to get off.
Comfort: The comfort provided by the beautiful, cozy and air-conditioned interior of your car is unmatched by any bus seat. There can simply be no comparison. You can even rest and sleep in your car when you are tired. I don`t know if I would sleep on a bus.
Convenience: You don’t have to wait for any schedule, you can drive your car anytime you like. You can also stash all your stuff in your car trunk and leave it there until you feel like taking it out. Try doing that on a bus!
Personal security: As long as you drive safely, you are safer in your own car than in a bus where you are an easy target for people trying to rob you or harm you.
Privacy: The privacy you get in your car is comparable to the privacy you get in your own home. You can talk and sing to yourself without the risk of people staring at you.
The cons of driving:
Car insurance: You have to buy insurance for your car every year, and it can make quite a dent in your budget. If you have multiple cars, then car insurance can really take the fun out of driving when the time comes to buy insurance.
Repair and maintenance: Your car is a machine, and it can’t run without regular maintenance. The annual cost of servicing, repair, and maintenance can be quite high depending on the type of your car and how you drive.
Higher cost: Although gas is not as expensive in the US as in many other countries, your car can consume a lot of fuel if you have to drive long distances regularly.
Stress in traffic: Driving can be highly stressful when you are stuck in a traffic jam, which is a fact of life in cities, especially during rush hour. Driving-related stresses can cause heart diseases and psychological problems.
The pros of taking the bus:
Free to do other things: Since your hands and feet are not occupied, you are free to read a book, type a text message, watch the passing scenery or close your eyes and sleep.
Meet interesting people: Since thousands of people take the bus daily, you will get the opportunity to meet interesting people. If you don’t mind talking to strangers, then you can even strike up a friendship with some of them.
Less costly: Since you don’t have to pay for insurance, car repairs and maintenance, taking the bus is a lot less costly than driving your own car.
Less stressful: Since you are not in charge, taking the bus is infinitely less stressful in a traffic jam. In fact, you can look out of the window and amuse yourself by watching a sea of cars stuck in traffic
The cons of taking the bus:
Lack of privacy: With so many people sharing a confined space, and some of them actually staring at you, you have no privacy on a bus. You cannot talk or hum to yourself without attracting several pairs of curious and disapproving eyes.
Reduced personal security: If anyone wants to harm you, then a bus provides an easy setting. I have heard of many situations where people were attacked on a bus.
Chances of theft and robbery: A lot of theft and robbery take place on moving buses. If you are not careful, you can easily become a victim.
Racial/Sexual harassment: If you are a woman or belong to a minority ethnic group, you may become the victim of sexual or racial harassment on a bus. Starting with verbal abuse, the harassment can often take the form of physical abuse.
Most people who own cars choose to drive whenever they feel like it. It`s convenient, often reliable, and for the most part, safe. I know many people who would never be seen taking the bus. I have done both and can appreciate the good and bad in both.
The world may seem brighter than usual, or you may find yourself wanting to make it so since disillusionment can make you want more than what you have. It is unlikely that the commonplace and the ordinary satisfy you now, and you tend to dream in the largest possible terms. Your idealism can show itself strongly, and you may see the best in all that is around you. You likely trust that whatever is possible can become a reality. This may mean that undying optimism keeps your vision alive, but also whatever is fearful may get encouraged. You may oscillate between the two, and situations may provide room for each to occur.
Your perspective typically broadens during this cycle, but you may have difficulty distinguishing fact from fiction. Because there is often such an array of content now, making sense of everything is usually a challenge. If you apply reason and logic to unravel the complexities that may arise, you probably will end up further from solutions than when you started. Linear methods must give way to more indirect and intuitive approaches for success to occur. Otherwise confusion can reign now, and you may lose your bearings in a sea of ambiguity. In this period, there typically are many layers of meaning without the sharp contrast that you may come to expect. Essentially there are no right answers since everything is possible, and nothing is excluded. The more you try to define boundaries, the more obscure they may become.
Being open to whatever comes into your view and especially to what is outside of it can lead you almost anywhere. You may seek what is hidden, subtle, and hard to detect. Secrets that you may hold can get exposed now as there is a tendency for the truth to come out, and if deceptions are not faced, they may become stronger and more pervasive. Clarity comes from being honest and trying not to control any outcome. Sometimes people or conditions challenge your faith and you may have to wrestle with complex issues that have no easy explanations. If your beliefs lack the proper support or relevance, you may realize their shortcomings now.
The opportunity exists for you to understand beyond words or reason certain aspects of life which often require suspending judgment and trusting the validity of what you feel. So much depends on your ability to see clearly what is in front of you rather than avoiding certain realities. There sometimes is a strong need to escape any harshness that you may encounter, and you can create worlds that are far removed from your daily existence. Retreating to restore yourself and to reflect on the mysteries and puzzling circumstances that may surface is a way to detach in order to comprehend what is incomprehensible.
Limitations
Today you may become very conscious of the limitations imposed on you by circumstances and other people. Your task today is to not let yourself be overwhelmed by them. One effect of this influence is a sense of loneliness or inability to communicate with others. You feel that there is a gulf between you and others that you can't possibly cross. What you are experiencing is the real gulf that always exists between people. But there is no need to let that truth drag you down. You may not feel this effect psychologically, as described above. Instead you may find that you are actually unable to communicate with people, or that others constantly get in your way and hold you back. But you have to make compromises. If you are honest in expressing your needs to others, you should be able to work it out.
