I went to a museum about wildlife in the region I live in, and there was this small section with frogs, I thought it would be fun to share
They need to update their labels! Several genera have changed. But this is very nice. I guess it is Germany or Austria, given that Bombina bombina is on there, and it is not found in Switzerland.
I have mixed feelings about the shininess of some models that are used like this, but I know very well that using real specimens does not do the trick, because they look so different than when they were alive. I also miss the old dioramas that such information used to be presented in. It was much more inspiring to look at, somehow.
For the artist ask game:

Idk man,,,, is dragon age comics so I just spend all my time in @/daitranscrip and the dragon age wiki...sometimes i googled about horses. Crazy amount of lore details are in background convers,,,, i didn't even know about Avexis being in dai and then dissapearing in skyhold. I watched dawn of the seeker,,, im not having cool researchs where i learn about medieval armor making wich I should do
22. An idea you had that didn't make the cut
In Maddox comic so many,,, sadly a lot of minaeve content cause sometimes i have to cut it cause i'm like "those are too many pages and it doesnt add that much to the story" and I keep cutting her scenes,,, sorry girl. I also cut Cass cancelling Maddox magic after finding the oculara until they went outside the city to not hurt anyone there and being a skill that hurt him and stuff... I also had convers of Maddox and Dorian talking about slavery in tevinter but i didn't like how it went so I was like mmm i will ponder more about this so it's better writen
anyways an old page that didnt make the cut for chapter 9 maybe was it??

I like the free-verse poem Paramecium (1957) by Andrzej Bursa:
Children are nicer than adults // animals are nicer than children // reasoning thus you say // I must come to the conclusion // that nicest of all is the protozoan paramecium
so what
to me a paramecium’s nicer than you you motherfucker
THIS IS GREAT

September progress report
One of my longest-standing and most helpful readers (who knows a ton more about Arthurian tradition than I do!) commissioned this gorgeous drawing of Maris and Bretta from the incredibly talented perplexingly as a gift for me. Thank you so much!!! I love it!
I don’t have a whole lot to show for September, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t do anything. I merged the two versions of the Michaelsmount branch into one huge file (over 100k words!) and then fired up the automated bug testers... and wow, were there a lot of things to fix! Some of them were things that would have run fine but the bugtesters just didn’t like; some were real bugs like incorrect variable names and missing parentheses, and then there were two instances of looping -- where if I hadn’t fixed them, poor Guen would have been trapped in a Groundhog-Day-esque cycle of repeating the same short sequence of events over and over. One of them was especially funny to me, but I don’t want to spoil anything by saying what the scene was. I look forward to telling people once Book II is completely updated. :)
So now everything I’ve written is (apparently) free of technical bugs, though I’m sure there will be tons of continuity bugs, like Lancelot popping up when he’s not supposed to be there, or not being there when he’s supposed to be -- bad Lancelot! I’ll be counting on all of you to help me catch those when the time comes.
After I finished the bug testing, I had a couple of weeks of just feeling overwhelmed by life and I had to give myself a mental break. Now I’m feeling motivated to write again, but finding any time for writing in October is always a challenge. I’ll try my best! The end is in sight -- okay, it’s a fuzzy, far-off sight, but I can see it!
