Hey Charlotte! The wording on Samurai of the Pale Curtain confused me and there's no rules explanations on Gatherer. Does the exiling ability affect cards that go to the graveyard from the library or is it exclusively from the battlefield? Thanks!
Permanents only ever exist on the battlefield, and so that’s what Samurai of the Pale Curtain’s ability applies to. Cards in other zones can never be permanents, only permanent cards, but Samurai of the Pale Curtain doesn’t care about permanent cards, just permanents.
Any permanent that would be put into a graveyard from the battlefield will be exiled instead. Any permanent card that would be put into the graveyard from any other zone is unaffected.

If a permanent would somehow have no permanent types, what would happen? (The example I've seen is Darksteel Relic, March of the machines (and an anthem effect) and Neurok Transmuter)
110.4c If a permanent somehow loses all its permanent types, it remains on the battlefield. It’s still a permanent.

Can emblems from planeswalkers be targeted as permanents?
No. Emblems aren’t permanents.
Permanents are objects on the battlefield. Emblems aren’t on the battlefield.
Emblems are objects in the command zone, like commanders, planes, schemes, vanguards, etc.
