His life as the incarnation of greed was exceedingly boring. One of the things that he regretted once he’s reached his current realm. His lips pursed into a line. Maybe he could visit the material world…?

He pushed off from his chair, intending to leave. As an incarnation rather than a mortal, his form can be easily changed. He remained silent, changing his form to that of a younger version of his own.

“Oh my, you look… stunning.” He froze, Glave’s voice resounding in his lair. Glave stood just before his throne.

“Isn’t there anything else you can do with your free time?” Perkisas spat.

Glave chuckled. Perkisas groaning with annoyance at the sound. This man was an absolute menace in his presence.

“Boredom can only be quelled so many times.” Perkisas had no interest in listening.

“Do you think I care for your own problems? Leave, administrator. You will find nothing here.”

“Oh, but you are here, aren’t you?” Glave said. Perkisas blinked.

“What?” Glave didn’t continue as Perkisas stared at him. “Did you always have a penchant of asking out creatures of destruction?”

“It’s quite interesting.” Glave’s eye shines bright golden, his attention laid fully on Perkisas. “Don’t you think so?”

He doesn’t understand why such a man would find interest over a mate. Perkisas hummed, eyes darkening as he mulled over the thought. A show of power? No, he glances away, this man was simply bored as he was.

“Alright then, what do you have in mind?” The man’s laugh grated on his ears as the other’s cubes spun lazily above his hands. To think that he was reduced to something like this. 

Perkisas didn’t fight the portal’s pull and instead walked towards it. It would be interesting nonetheless.

Perkisas expected a disaster. He wasn’t expecting Glave to be a gentlemen out of all things. Why did such a man know a lot about mortal customs?

“How is it, Perkisas?” The man still wore a cloak, a mask and a chain around his neck but other than that… 

“Hmph, don’t tell me this is the best the mortals can offer?” He was far from satisfied. He paid no mind to the man paying to everything he took a fancy to. He was Greed itself. How would he be satisfied with these petty things?

Glave chuckled. “We still have other villages to visit. Lanox serves a fair amount of delicacies.”

Perkisas only rolled his eyes at the man’s antics. Delicacies? Although he wasn’t Gluttony, he’ll be the judge if these are truly delicacies. 

They landed on Lanox as Glave went away to reserve a seat for them. Perkisas felt the insane amount of fire energy that resided throughout the village.

It empowered him. The purity of the energy was unlike the other villages. He narrowed his eyes as he called forward his power. It blazed brightly as it fed upon the scattered energy.

“Hey, you!” A red-haired girl walked towards him. “Don’t just use fire willy-nilly! You might harm someone!”

Perkisas glared at her, “Who are you to command me?”

“I’m the fire priestess Ignia! Your fire’s too powerful to be cast here in the village.” Ignia chided him. “Do that when you’re out in the fields, you idiot! You might harm someone!”

“Insolent,” He hissed. “You dare call the great Perkisas such a name?”

“Perkisas?” The girl blinked before glaring at him in turn. “I don’t care if you’re popular! Just call of your fire.”

“Oh, Ignia?” The fire was extinguished immediately as Glave appeared beside them. “Do excuse my… partner. He’s not used to civilizations.”

“Glave? Partner?” Ignia looked between the two of them before frowning. “Keep him in check. His fire’s really too powerful to be cast inside the village.”

“Off you go now.” Ignia sighed before walking away. Glave turned towards him.

“Will you really insist destroying a village without having a taste of their specialties?”

Perkisas scoffed. “I care not if a human girl insists on disrespecting me.”

“The priestess doesn’t mean harm. Only worried about the village. She does have a connection to the Fire El.” Perkisas’ eyes narrowed at his words.

“A priestess? Why is such a priestess gallivanting in a village and not at her shrine?”

“Times have changed.” Perkisas didn’t elaborate, only pointing him towards a restaurant. “Drop it and we’ll be able to go to another dimension before the day ends.”

Perkisas huffed in annoyance before walking towards the restaurant. There wasn’t anything he can do with his time anyway. He can humor the man a little longer. 

“Were you satisfied?” Glave asked as Perkisas stepped into his domain. He looked back, giving the man an unimpressed glance.

“You’d have to do better than that to satisfy me.” He said before walking towards his throne.

“How about next time, your highness?”

Perkisas’ lips curled at the greeting. “I’ll think about it when the humans have decided to respect the great Perkisas. Otherwise, don’t ever come back.”

“You really keep a man on his toes, kukuku.” Time and space cubes spun on Glave’s hand before he vanished completely.
