Drew my character from my Star Wars RPG campaign!
B0-L7, or "Bolt" as his friends call him, is a B1 Battle Droid who was stationed in guarding the middle of nowhere for most of the Clone Wars. His unit finally got called in for a glorious battle, but on their way they received word that the Separatists had lost the war. Fearing the conveniences of his command, Captain Mal Prescus took his ship and deserted, selling off the droids he had to support himself and his crew.
B0-L7 was sold off and spent years working odd jobs and replacing his broken parts as they wear down. He refuses to accept that the war is over and doesn't recognize the Empire as a legitimate government.
We haven't gotten to this point in the campaign yet but I like to imagine that he joins the rebellion for the sole purpose of "striking back at the Republic", and when the rebellion wins, he's outraged at the government they form
"wait wait, we're the New WHAT??"
