Our breath is the first interface. In Atmospheric Metabolism, it becomes the primary instrument in a concert for a breathing world.

I am excited to present this work as part of the Periphera Festival 2025 - Digital Art Festival of Trafaria.

This performance creates a living, metabolic system between body and technology. I use hyperinstruments to translate the CO₂ from the performence place and my voice and breath into a generative composition. But this is not a solo, it is a collective composition.

You complete the circuit.

The CO₂ from the breath of every person in the room becomes a core parameter of the system. Your collective exhalations are the data that shapes the evolving soundscape and lights. You are not just witnessing the music; you are co-composing it in real-time through the most fundamental biological process. The piece moves through stages of potential, friction, and saturation, driven directly by the audience's metabolic activity.

Atmospheric Metabolism is a ritual for the Anthropocene, making our shared responsibility for the climate a visceral, audible, and collective experience.
