They are your most avid supporters! Showing up to each and every game without fail, and your practices as often as they can. Sometimes your teammates tease you about it.

Peridot is very enthusiastic about your ‘human activities’. She has no idea how it works, nor why you do it, but she tries her best to support you anyway. She goes so far as to make shirts and signs to hold, they’re never really what you would expect to see, but you can’t crush her excitement.

Lapis understands better than Peri what’s going on, and keeps a careful eye on you at all times to make sure you don’t get hurt. She gets worried by how rowdy the other humans can be, afraid one will damage her favourite human, and there have been incidents. She took the time specifically to learn the rules just to make sure no one on the other team ‘cheats’.

Peridot first started her infatuation with you when Steven introduced you two after the whole cluster business, explaining you were going to be staying in the barn for a couple days. She couldn’t help her thoughts drifting over to you ever since that first meeting. You were such a breath of fresh air after those brutes of Crystal gems and the ruthlessness of Yellow Diamond, reminding her of Steven, but so inexplicable interesting to her. You fascinated her, how you made her feel. She had no idea what she was feeling, so she opted to find out more by ‘experimenting’.

You were disturbed from your slumber late one night, by the feeling of something tickling your face. Blinking away the remaining sleep, you looked up to see Peridot disturbingly close to your face. “Peridot... what the hell are you doing.”

“AH. Um... I was... recording your sleep patterns.”

“...Why?”

To this she responded by squeaking out loud and scrambling away.

Several more incidents like this occurred, with you waking up in the middle of the night to see Peridot somewhere nearby. You waved it off as her being curious about humans, and ignored it for the most part, eventually getting used to it.

She had taken to following you around during the day, almost remniscent of a small dog, no matter how many times you told her it wasn’t necessary, and you’d catch her doing the weirdest things, like trying on some of your old shirts. Whenever something mildly threatening came up, her immediate reaction was to scamper up to you and wrap her arms around your leg.

You suspected that some of her weird behaviour was based on what she was watching on the old tv rigged up in the loft of the barn. You couldn’t imagine what it played during the late hours of the night she turned it on at. Some of those shows were real weird.

She just doesn’t know why you’re so darn fascinating to her. It’s like everytime she thinks she knows enough about you to satiate her hunger for information, she’ll find a new topic she simply must know more about. Seeing as you’re one of the only people willing to sit down and explain things to her in bulk, you’re her main source. Not that she’s complaining. Feelings are weird.
