One of the last projects of our free-as-a-bird summer. We built a table from the leftover butcher block we used for our coffee bar in the pantry. Easy as buying legs that extend to pub table height from @ikeausa and some sanding... and endless varnishing. Also, I learned in the process... of you decide to try and rinse oil-based polyurethane off of a brush: 1) it doesn’t come off 2) it gets all over your hands 3) have paint-thinner at the ready 4) peanut butter is not only delicious but a great combo with dish soap to get oily polyurethane off of your hands. Now we need bar/pub chairs for this sexy outdoor table. But I’m calling this one complete! ✅ #makeyourown #diy #creatingthingsisfun #recyclereusereduce #perfectscrabbletable (at Lakewood, California)
