I bought a loose leaf tea infuser the other day and I’m using it for the first time tonight and I am so excited to taste this 😍😍😍

So my lurvely sistahs and mum are tea aficionados. Me, I’m a Coke Zero expert, a wine enthusiast, but the extent of my tea experience ended with knowing how to make a pitcher of Luzianne. That was until Saturday. On Saturday, I walked into a Teavana. I don’t mean to be all dramatic and stuff, but I think a golden light lit up the store and maybe some angels sang. I mean seriously, not only do their teas taste amazing, they look like potpourri and smell like the nectar of the gods. And the salespeople! The chick that helped me knew her teas up and down and even sideways. When she asked “What are you looking for in a tea?” I almost panicked. I mean, taste is a priority,but I knew that wasn’t what she was getting at. Since she had really pushed all the health benefits, I imagined myself in a GNC and blurted “I want to lose weight, have great hair, skin, and nails, and tons of energy! Is there a tea for that?” She proceeded to take down three lovely tins. She opened the first, then began an intricate “hand dance” with the lid. At first I was thinking “Heck yes! Tea AND a show!” but then I got a whiff of what smelled like citrus goodness. She was fanning the wonderful tea aroma into my nostrils. I didn’t even have to bend over to sniff. This was their Purify Wellness Tea. Next up, something that looked and smelled like spinach. NEXT! When she lifted the lid on the last tea, the tea looked like dainty potpourri you’d find in your grandma’s house. It smelled like heaven…strawberry, Apple, mint. And guess what!?! It aids in weight loss and has a super catchy name. Weight To Go! I knew in that moment that this was the tea for me. She only had to tug my arm a little to get me to purchase the Perfectea pitcher that, as a special came with a tin and Belgian Rock Sugar. I thanked my sweet little tea fairy and headed home, eager to try my tea. I felt so classy. Flash forward to 2 am. (I had to drive back from Augusta.) I’m wide awake, and I think “I’d like a soothing cup of my delicious smelling tea!” So I commence to steep my tea according to directions. Three long and painful minutes later, it’s ready. Now in the store, when my tea fairy was demonstrating, I thought she was pushing a button to dispense the tea. Not so. I press what I thought she was pressing, and all I do is open the lid. I gingerly lift the Perfectea pitcher over my head to see what was up…and immediately get a wonderfully warm and strawberry scented shower of tea in the face. *sigh* I have two options at this point: clean up my mess and go to bed, or try again. Who’s a quitter? Not this girl! So I started over, careful to get the tea in the mug and not on me. It was ahhhhmazing. Fruity and floral with a hint of mint, refreshing and relaxing all at once. I was hooked. The only drawback to Teavana is it is a little costly. For 4 ounces of loose tea, the Perfectea pitcher, sugar, and tin, my total was $48. That being said, you can get 2-3 uses from each pitcher you steep,and now that I have a pitcher and tin, I just have to buy tea. I will definitely buy Teavana again, it will just be a little tea treat for me every now and again.
