Argwen as parents is the most important part of a balanced breakfast.

First of all, Gwen enabling Merlin and Gwaine’s shenanigans. She remembers when Arthur was a bully and is happy to sit back and let him get a (harmless) taste of his own medicine.

Merlin obviously teaches the kids some easy spells as soon as they’re old enough to speak. The memory of Arthur’s face when he sees one of his own children using magic (which has been legal for years now) is priceless. It never fails to get a giggle out of Gwen.

Everyone thinks Gwaine taught the children how to swear, but it was Merlin. He stubbed his toe near one and it just happened. Gwaine takes the blame in order to romance Merlin. Obviously, it works. But believe it or not, Gwaine is the responsible uncle between the two. (Arthur will never believe it.)

Percival and Elyan adopted their own child a while ago (perelyan rescuing children together is canon already, may as well keep one) and they’re doing a fantastic job of raising them. The other knights are actually shocked at how well they’re doing, but believe it or not, they make responsible adults when they decide to act like it.

Merlin and Gwaine also have a child, but that child is a dragon hatchling who sets things on fire for fun when she’s bored, so perelyan wins by default.

I ABSOLUTELY ADORE PERCIVAL/ELYAN!!!!! THEY'RE ONE OF MY FAVOURITE SHIPS!!!!!! like god. their interactions were just SO GOOD. like they were so sweet but also definitely had that Banter(TM) aspect to them that i am absolutely obsessed with in ships. not to mention,,, HEIGHT!!! another favourite of mine. you know what they say, boyfriends who judge people together stay together<3 as they fucking should.

they are DISGUSTING!!! JUST LOOK AT THEM!!! they are in PUBLIC!!! THEYRE FACING HAVING TO FIGHT A LITERAL WAR IN A DAY OR TWO. AND THEY'RE JUST so in love. smiling so fondly at each other. oh my god. you know what. good for them. GOOD FOR THEM!!! sitting around the fire just seems to be Their Thing, you know? (i say after two scenes of them around the fire together bUT STILL)

LIKE!!!!!! this is also one of my favourite moments because it's just so TENDER and intimate, you know. like the way they grab arms but then percival also grabs elyan's shoulder just to hold onto him. the way elyan makes a joke to like lighten the mood because they KNOW everything's going to be okay now. the way percival laughs and its equal parts relieved and fond and such an obvious i missed you. im LOSING. MY MIND.
