I think firstly, their hugs. They are so warm and all encompassing, and they always lose themselves in each other when they hug. Like I genuinely think that is their favorite place to be. No matter what has happened before, once theyāve got their arms around each other, nothing else matters.
For Arthur more specifically, heās always in contact with Gwen. Like sheās his Sun and heās just in her gravitational field!!! Heās always taking her hand, kissing her head, brushing their fingers together. I think he is most at home and comfortable when itās just the two of them (especially in the earlier days before their relationship was out in the open, because he could touch her without worrying if anyone saw).
For Guinevere, I think her home is on Arthurās chest. Again this show lovesssss a good shirtless hug but I think the skin contact piece is important to her!!! When heās wearing armor or silk shirts, heās Camelotās crown prince, the once and future king. But when itās just his skin, thatās her Arthur, and sheās more than happy to curl up on him and listen to his heart beat.
Back to Arthur, I think forehead kisses are one of the ways he is most quietly intimate and at home with Guinevere. Number one because I am height difference trash LMAO but he also loves the way her mind is, he adores the way she thinks and thatās one of the simplest ways he can show it, and show it often. I also think he loves how she just fits right in, tucked under him.
Semi similarly, I think hand kisses are Gwenās most constant way to show that intimacy and feeling of home. Itās grounding for her, pressing her lips against the backs of his hands and his fingers, over his scarred knuckles, a reminder of such power that melts down entirely in her presence. She has a thing for it, for sure.
Post coronation they are known for being sickeningly affectionate with each other (that scene of Arthur whispering in Gwenās ear in front of the Knights of the Round Table comes to mind). But I think itās because they spent so long hiding how they felt from the world that now that they can be in the open they refuse to return. Every time Arthur comes back and Gwen is launching herself into his arms, and when he leaves they grasp fingertips until they canāt anymore. When discussions get heated around the Round Table, all Gwen has to do is lay a hand on her husbandās shoulder or face and heās calming, kissing her hand quickly in thanks. Same with her, when sheās getting angrier and on the verge of losing control, heāll take her hand and nod at her to remind her heās there, supporting her all the way.
I just love them so much, they are literally each otherās home and so, SO close and quietly intimate in so many ways!!!!
