I should have known better than to trust a penguin with such an important task. They may look cute and cuddly, but they're nothing but trouble.

Now, not only do I have to rebuild my base, but I also have to deal with the humiliation of my latest weapon backfiring on me. I'm starting to think that maybe Sonic has the right idea by relying on his own physical abilities instead of fancy gadgets and machinery.

I'm beginning to think that my badniks have a sense of humor. Take Penguinator, for instance. I programmed him to be a cold and efficient killing machine, but he seems to have a love for comedy.

The other day, I caught him waddling around my lab with a plastic fish in his beak, honking like a clown. And when I asked him what he was doing, he just looked at me with those beady little eyes and let out a high-pitched giggle.

I don't know how he got a hold of that fish or where he learned to honk like a clown, but it was hard not to laugh at the sight of my supposedly deadly badnik acting like a silly little bird.

Perhaps I should look into programming some jokes into my badniks. A little humor might make them less intimidating to my enemies, and who knows? It might even improve morale among my troops.
