It was strange traveling without Pod. There had been times he’d been serviced in the past, and she hadn’t had him for the first leg of her stay in Hive City, but to voluntarily leave him behind left an itch at the back of her mind. Sadness? No, surely not -- is what she told herself, but that was it.

That aspect aside, she had been feeling anxious about this trip. To ‘look forward’ to something wasn’t a feeling she’d ever had the leisure of. As an android of YoRHa there was nothing to look forward to, no joy. She destroyed because she was told to.

But as she set down the bags beside the bed and looked back at the girl she’d be sharing a room with, she was reminded why she felt that way.

★ █ MARISA STRUGGLES TO HANG her handmade flier on the wall; it’s brick and she didn’t think to bring anything other than cheap scotch tape, which she now realizes was entirely shortsighted. Also stupid, she realizes, was only making six of these things -- but without any other method of making them than by hand herself, there’s not much else she can do. Her brief attempt at some sort of magic to make more of them only ended in flames. Literally.

With a huff and a sigh, she almost considers trying to magic this to make it stick, but that would likely end poorly as well. Small things like this have never been her strong suit. 

As it flaps in the breeze and flops back onto her face, arms stretched above her head in a futile attempt to keep it held in place, the only words remaining visible are WANTED: MAGIC ASSISTANT, with the MAGIC crossed out in one big strike. 

       There's not a lot he understands yet, since it has been about one day, but the more he sees from this area the more confusion is added onto him than anything. Stacked up to the brink of what he's seen and what he understands, he's about taken all he can at the moment. There's an entertainer of sorts, juggling different objects with the tips on fire, and he's just absolutely bewildered at the sight of it. He's fascinated, to be frank, but he's never seen it before in his life either.        He snaps out of what he's focusing on a few seconds too late when someone walks in front of his line of sight, so he quickly tries to cover it up with an explanation, ❝ Oh, uh-- ❞ he rubs his nose, ❝ over there. ❞ he motions past her, to the spectacle he was watching before.

“I don’t know if you heard but there is a holiday event coming up. I was curious if you would like to attend it with me?” She paused momentarily, seemingly unsure if she should elaborate that question. “I’ve noticed its very common to attend events like these with a ‘date’, so... perhaps we could attend in a manner similar to that?”
