Itās an a little restaurant a cousin of Lucho owns back in Gijon, Austurias. Situated a bit by the sea, the view of the waves and the low sun cast an ambient kind of atmosphere. Music is softly playing, piano in sync withĀ a cello, the notes are exquisite. They are eating seafood freshly caught, glasses of win poured to the lowest level, and the dim light casts slight shadows across their faces. Lucho finds himself stunned by how handsome Pep is. He doesnāt do a lot of talking this time. He just sits there mostly, listening to the other talk, basking in the other manās presence. They havenāt called it a date, but they both knew it was.
Pep feels like he can say anything at this moment. He can divulge any amount of information and Lucho would keep it with him to the grave. He hopes heās making an impression, wonders slightly if he is sounding like too much. His passion for things, heās told can be a bit overwhelming.Ā When he looks at Lucho, he loses a bit of his breath. His heart quickens and that growing ache in his stomach lurches. They frequently banter about this question. They have fond memories in many places from a secluded cafe in Prague to a diner in San Francisco. But when it comes down to it, they love that restaurant by the sea where they had their first official date. They canāt go to it as often as before though considering how busy it has become thanks in part to them having dined there once. Thereās also this sleek avant-garde restaurant in Barcelona with velvet like seats, hip music playing, and Catalan dishes served almost as if Pepās mother had cooked it.
How many dates before their first kiss?
Around four official dates, and many unofficial ones, it took around that amount of times before they had their first kiss. The thing is between them is an insane chemistry. They can push each other, challenge one another, fight back verbally and non-verbally against one another. Thereās a curiosity they have about one another that evolves into this maddening addiction. Underneath, thereās a fondness too, a growing love that is unbreakable, but wonāt come out completely due to so many factors.
Their first kiss wasnāt planned by either of them (Pep had a few plans on where he would like to first kiss Lucho). Pep was passed out in his hotel room after a tough away game. He was awaken by a knock on his door. Upon opening it, itās Lucho hyped, erratic and filled with energy. He wasnāt drunk, Lucho always knows how handle his liquor. No, this was different. Lucho was hyper. He must have had coffee.Pep did his best to deal with the hyperactive Lucho. A hyperactive Lucho means that the manās mind is in overdrive. He sees things and starts asking questions about them, goes into long convoluted conspiracy theories about these things. This night Lucho describe every bit of Pep, the curious fleck on his cheek, the way his hairline looks sleek, but hurried as if done by hand, the count of dimples, etc. Lucho describes how kissable Pepās lips are. He makes a face, and he starts counting the follicles of hair on Pepās head. He squirms as Pep tries to hold him, and his hands donāt know what to do with themselves. He switches from Austurian to Catalan and back with ease as he relays a conspiracy hypothesis as to why he and Pep havenāt kissed yet. Pep kisses him to shut him up.
They asked each other out at the same time. They were in the locker room after training longer than their other teammates. Pep had just finished taking his shower and Lucho was on his way to take his. They bumped into each other midway, and each time they tried to move aside to let the other pass, the other would move the same way with the same intention. It was like a comical bit in a sitcom.Luchoās eyes traveled up and down Pepās newly clean body. How many dates before they considered each other a couple?
According to Pep, they became a couple after their picnic in Valencia. Lucho says they were a couple from the moment their eyes met back at the Bernabeu.
How many mutual friends do they have?
They have some in common like Puyol, Raul, Figo, etc. But not that much, theyāre content to have those circles not be closely tied together.
Which one of their friends is most likely to get in between an argument between the ship?
More often than not, it happens to be Iniesta. Not that Andres ever intends to get in between their arguments. It just always seems to happen. Like that one time, he caught the two having a spat over how the ball was or wasnāt rolling correctly on the pitch, or how one jersey looked better than another. There was always an element of the silly when it comes to Pep and Luchoās argument. The latest one Andres caught was when Pep decided to visit the training center without informing Lucho before their game against Manchester City (before Pep ever became the coach there). He remembered seeing bottles get thrown, sharp words be spoken in Catalan, and literal steam exiting Luchoās face while Pepās held a certain twitch of nervousness and resolution.
Which one has more friends?
By far, thatās Lucho. Surprisingly, he has kept more friends out of his career compared to Pep. Pep has more idolizing followers rather than friends. Both of their circles are small, but Lucho has kept in better touch with people.
Which one has introduced the other to more people?
Pep has introduced Lucho to the most people. It started off as an obligation since Lucho was new to the Barca team. But it became a habit that before Lucho could even open his mouth, Pep was already saying his name, his position on the pitch, where heās from, and what food he may or may not like.
Did they start out as friends and made their way to a couple, or were they a couple almost right away?
Instant attraction was between them although they didnāt understand why. It was just there, lying between them and underneath them, causing their stomachs to flutter every time they locked eyes or came into contact with one another. They did become friends, but even then, the attraction stayed there. They flirted throughout their āplatonicā stage of their relationship. How could they not? Banter, pushing at each other was flirting. The way Lucho always teased Pep was flirting. The way Pep always made sure he was sitting next to or standing by or just the closest one to Lucho was flirting. Their friendship and flirtation walked hand in hand.
