So I just watched Palang, the new music video by Pelteras, a goth/post-rock band from Jakarta and wow. WOW. This is one of those MVs where you just sit there after it ends like, “Okay... I felt that.”

The whole thing is in black and white (yes, my fave visual language), and it works perfectly. It’s gritty, poetic, and full of that heavy emptiness you only get from good post-rock. There’s no flashy drama; just raw, slow-burning emotions. It's like watching pain and beauty hold hands.

And let’s talk sound. That thick, melancholic energy? It creeps in and wraps around your chest. Their music feels like shouting into the void, but in a way that’s oddly comforting. Like hey, the world sucks sometimes, but here’s a soundtrack for it.

Honestly, Palang gave me the same kind of chills I get when I listen to Mono or Touché Amoré but soaked in that Southeast Asian grunge spirit. So good. So haunting. So necessary.

Go watch it if you need something to scream-cry to while looking cool in a leather jacket.
