Introducing Foster Pug to PugHearts. He has quite the story and it is a heartbreaking one. 😔 Foster Pug’s dad passed away and as the children who live out of state were trying to get all sorted, they thought to contact the pug rescue since his dog’s name was Pug. They were rather surprised their dad’s pug was actually a peke, but we stepped up anyway and kept the name because of how endearing the story is. My husband and I picked this sweet senior on Sunday and his first 24 hours were rough. He clearly missed his dad and felt massively lost. He would just lay down and let out these sad quiet howls. He didn’t sleep the first night at all and we ended up curled up on the couch together, both completely exhausted at 4am. From there on his spirits seem to be getting back up. He has been velcro and just the sweetest little companion who slept all night in our bed and wants nothing but cuddles. He is at the vet today and from there he will be going to his foster home.
