I wrote a very long message and it suddenly occurred to me that no one must see the horrible secrets. Ahaha. You ever get that feel?

Let’s focus on friends instead of time displaced! Work! Yeah! Crazy with freshmen. I teach at a school specifically for art. A dream school I managed to attend. Beside it is a tech school. I was also lucky enough to take advantage of a great program that allowed you to take electives at one school or the other. Naturally I wanted John with me, because I am insanely obsessed with him and have been since I was 13. Since the schools in RI are blessedly beside each other, we can both live together. I recommended not a dorm because there’s all this bullshit attached but a bigass house nearby where you can rent really nice rooms. Like a little house! It’s odd to be teaching while still in what is more or less my old dorm, but it’s comfortable and private enough for. Us. Being us. Shouting. At videogames.

I was a student of the photography department and am now head of the photography department. Senior Staff was ready to kill me.

Here is why we talk about freshmen. In the fall I get to break kids who were seniors in highschool where they were treated as if they owned the world. Now many freshmen they think they know everything and are just a nuisance to themselves and all others. They figure they got this in the bag. Worst thing. They are paying for school yet act as though it’s this huge burden in the most obnoxious 16 year old way.

I have to slap them in the face until they stop being idiots. It’s a tough time for me. Sometimes fun.

That’s gonna be my day. Freshmen that the teachers themselves need to haze. Helping the teachers with obstinate students. Paperwork that is insane.
