My biggest problem with Cybertronians being able to waste coexisting with sparklings is that, like, do the sparklings wear diapers? Because nobody ever depicts them wearing diapers. Is wasting an ability they gain with puberty?? Or is it like baby animals where you have to rub their privates to make them pee and poop? Do creators have to hold their bitties over the toilet or tub and make them waste?? I can never make it make sense in my head
I don't really hc transformers needing to 'waste' unless it's played as a joke or used for kink purposes, but it is an interesting thought.
What if, kind of like the baby animals you mentioned, they couldn't release waste themselves and instead required an adult to do it for them by uncapping/unscrewing their tank and dangling them over the waste drain? And that if an adult left it too long between 'tank changes' the sparkling would start to ...leak, because their tank is too full?
Later, I guess you could also parallel to toilet training a 2 year old, where the sire or creator has to keep asking their toddler-sparkling if their tank is full and the sparkling lying because they want to keep playing and not go to the boring wash racks just to pee
