i like all the headcanons where blink and aaargh meet during the war with gumm-gumms (and blinkous is the reason aaargh defected, bonus points for that), but what i’d love for them is to meet after gunmar had been sealed in darklands.
blinkous, mourning his brother and countless other trolls, is like “of course i’ll keep an eye (or six) on this turncoat, i mean it’s not like i have anything left to live for if he decides defecting was a bad idea and goes on a killing rampage”; and aaarrgh, well, he has his own unique flavor of ptsd complete with unmeasurable guilt (bonus angst points if he thinks he killed blinky’s bro because let’s be honest he can tear through lesser trolls with little to no thought and/or effort).
in the end it’s about overcoming trauma together through gentle support with small comforting gestures here and there. it’s this slow, painful process that brings them as close as they are.

that blinky started to shorten his name ‘cause of aaargh who couldn’t pronounce his full name correctly at first and blinkous was like ok fine you may call me blinky (and it caught on like a wildfire).

also would anybody be so kind as to point me in the direction of the trollhunters discord? there must be one. there’s always one nowadays.
when i don’t use references there are two constant mistakes i make when i draw troll dads: aaargh’s face shape, i make it a high trapezoid instead of a flat rectangle; & blinky’s horns. i have no idea how his horns work and at this point i’m afraid to ask.
